Sales Engagement Specialist

Position Summary:

The Sales Engagement Specialist is responsible for the conception, implementation, project management, maintenance, and administrative support of sales training and enablement for sales teams in the North American ads business. The ideal candidate will have a sales training and enablement background, exposure to learning and development projects, and the ability to manage complex projects in and outside this scope. They will be able to work independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities:

* Diagnose sales enablement gaps

* Design training solutions

* Planning, scheduling, and tracking projects

* Manage project budgets and timelines

* Develop and maintain project documentation (notes, Confluence pages, etc.)

* Setting up meetings, booking rooms, and own notes and action item distribution

* Coordinate travel arrangements for the Sales team regarding their projects (for example, leadership offsites, sales summits, etc.)

* Partner cross-functionally with day-to-day and senior stakeholders

* Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure that projects are completed on time and within budget

* Integrate work and updates provided by partners into the overall reporting

Own senior reporting and analysis on sales enablement projects

* Prepare and deliver project reports to stakeholders

* Co-authoring and rolling out sales framework training

* Managing the overall Sales team calendar and ensuring early execution against goals (e.g. Upfronts/Newfronts, Sales Industry Events, etc.)

* Supporting the distribution, review, and submission of Annual Business Plans

* Working with Vendors on Sales, L&D, and Enablement initiatives

* Revamping the current seller onboarding process

* Advise businesses and other groups on local, national, and international factors affecting the buying and selling of products and services.

* Confer with legal staff to resolve problems, such as copyright infringement and royalty sharing with outside producers and distributors.

* Develop pricing strategies, balancing firm objectives and customer satisfaction.

* Direct the hiring, training, and performance evaluations of marketing and sales staff and oversee their daily activities.

* Evaluate the financial aspects of product development, such as budgets, expenditures, research and development appropriations, and return-on-investment and profit-loss projections.

* Formulate, direct, and coordinate marketing activities and policies to promote products and services, working with advertising and promotion managers.

* Identify, develop, and evaluate marketing strategy, based on knowledge of establishment objectives, market characteristics, and cost and markup factors.

* Negotiate contracts with vendors and distributors to manage product distribution, establish distribution networks, and develop distribution strategies.

* Use sales forecasting and strategic planning to ensure the sale and profitability of products, lines, or services, analyzing business developments and monitoring market trends.

Requirements:

* 5+ years of experience in project management in a sales enablement environment

* 5+ years of advising sales, media, and marketing work

* Excellence in slideware and executive communications

* Strong organizational and time management skills

* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

* Ability to work independently and as part of a team

* Comfortable working on a project-by-project basis, with multiple initiatives live at the same time

* Outstanding communication skills (written, verbal, slide presentation)

* Enjoys working cross-functionally with various teams (Sales, Product, Finance, Engineering, Marketing, etc.)

* Enjoys owning outcomes and seeing projects through from end to end

* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

* Ability to think strategically and develop innovative solutions

* Passion for sales and a commitment to customer satisfaction

* Experience in a large tech or advertising company in a sales enablement capacity

* Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, Google Drive, Slack, SalesForce, and project management software (eg, Jira, Asana, etc.)
