What success looks like in this role:
- Troubleshoot and fix issues in Webservers, Weblogic, Websphere, Service Now, Remedy and Java.
- Build/Deploy/Configure/Troubleshoot and maintain Webservers, Weblogic, and Websphere content management environments.
- Under broad supervision, installs, configures, and supports a local area network, wide area network, internet system, computers, desktops and/or mobile devices
- As such, the candidate will be responsible for all aspects related directly to projects involving Linux platform and infrastructure
- Provide advanced administrator duties for IBM WebSphere Application Servers V8.5.5 and forthcoming V9.x, and writing scripts to automate the manual tasks in a highly Virtualized Environment running on VMWare ESXi
- Build/deploy/configure and maintain WebSphere, and IIS environments
- Manage and monitor SSL, certificates, private/public key pairs and be up to date with latest cipher strengths as per Security Requirements
- Adhere to standards, processes, procedure and audit compliance controls
- Maintain security audit requirements for Linux Products and Servers
- Design and build automated code deployment systems that simplify development work and make deployments more consistent and issues predictable
- Manage existing WordPress system, perform patching, and meet all security compliances
- Provide Linux support and develop/maintain Linux shell scripts
- Implement and maintain Linux security and authorization integration with Active Directory
- Perform appropriate Change Management duties to comply with IT policies and procedures
- Report progress on a weekly basis of status on all assigned work tasks
- Automate day to day recurring operational tasks.
- Performance tuning of the Application servers & Web servers.
- Instrumentation of new monitoring tools and setup.
- Provide problem analysis, troubleshooting, and service recovery services.
- Provide documentation and training for L2 Linux Teams.
- Responsible for completing tasks, focusing on requirements, and meeting client needs.
- Leads and/or advises on site, regional and or cross-organizational network and systems-related infrastructure initiatives.
- Contributes to planning and implementing new releases, updates or corrections to hardware, software, applications or connectivity.
- Participates in strategic planning and development associated with future design, performance and capacity management.
- Effectively translates, communicates and relays technical subject matter content to non-technical audiences.
- Evaluates, recommends and maintains hardware and software management and monitoring tools to meet current and future organizational needs.
- Defines and develops comprehensive user and related training and information.
