We are seeking a highly skilled and diligent High-Performance Computing (HPC) Hardware Specialist to join our innovative team. This role is essential in ensuring the successful integration, assembly, and deployment of HPC solutions within our larger product ecosystem. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in HPC hardware, networking, procurement, testing and release processes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Define Server Contents and Specifications:Collaborate with engineering and product teams to define the technical specifications and components required for our HPC solutions.
  • Specify Networking Components:Identify and specify the networking components vital for real time high bandwidth performance.
  • Build Product BOMs:Develop and maintain accurate Bills of Materials (BOMs) for all components and ensure they are sourced accurately and timely
  • Hardware integration:Coordinate the assembly, cabling, and configuration of HPC racks, ensuring consistency to system specifications and quality standards.
  • Functional Testing:work together with the larger HPC team to complete comprehensive testing to ensure our solutions are fully functional and meet performance criteria.
  • Self-Tests:Build self-test processes to verify the functionality and ensure reliability of our HPC hardware. Develop detailed documentation for the hardware assembly, generate testing and diagnostic procedures.
  • Release Process Ownership:Be responsible for the process of releasing HPC server solutions into the larger product.
  • Ensure Regulatory Compliance:collaborate with corporate regulatory team to validate our hardware solutions meet all relevant regulatory requirements and standards.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in computer engineering, Electrical Engineering or Computer Science, or a related field.
  • History of experience in HPC related hardware integration and assembly.
  • Strong understanding of networking components and their specifications.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Python and Bash scripting skills are highly desirable.
  • Knowledge of procurement processes and part tracking.
  • Ability to craft detailed documentation and testing protocols.
  • Strong organizational and project management skills.

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience with HPC server configuration and BOM creation.
  • Rack design and interconnect definition.
  • Familiarity with self-test design and implementation.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a multi-functional environment.

Minimum Qualifications

Doctorate (Academic) Degree and 0 years related work experience; Master's Level Degree and related work experience of 3 years; Bachelor's Level Degree and related work experience of 5 years

Base Pay Range: $130,400.00 - $221,700.00 Primary Location: USA-CA-Milpitas-KLA KLA's total rewards package for employees may also include participation in performance incentive programs and eligibility for additional benefits including but not limited to: medical, dental, vision, life, and other voluntary benefits, 401(K) including company matching, employee stock purchase program (ESPP), student debt assistance, tuition reimbursement program, development and career growth opportunities and programs, financial planning benefits, wellness benefits including an employee assistance program (EAP), paid time off and paid company holidays, and family care and bonding leave.
