Your Impact
As a NA Campus Recruiter, you will be based in Chicago as part of our Chicago Office Campus Team.
This team collaborates with partners and consultants to help develop and drive recruiting strategies for the location and its sources; build and maintain peer-based relationships with leaders; partner with consultants, source and office recruiters, and other members of the recruiting community to plan and execute all aspects of our core recruiting efforts, including attraction, assessment, cultivation and onboarding.
You will be primarily responsible for driving and managing all aspects of recruiting for full-time and summer roles, with a focus on Undergraduate Sources to attract distinctive talent to McKinsey & Company.
Examples of responsibilities and essential functions:
  • Providing end-to-end management of the candidate through their progression in the recruiting process, including interview scheduling, responding to general questions, generating offer letters, planning, designing and executing tailored cultivation and onboarding strategies; building strong relationships with candidates to understand decision making criteria and provide counsel.
  • Managing a high volume of online applications; processing and tracking applications; monitoring candidate assessment results and updating candidate management database.
  • Managing final-round interview days, including planning interview day schedule, working with Partners, Associate Partners, and Executive Assistants to manage participation efforts, facilitate/lead decision meetings; leading ongoing management of candidate pipeline and data, using tools and systems while keeping key stakeholders informed.
  • Planning and executing campus events (e.g., large presentations, small group events, interview workshops, office visits) while managing the overall source and office recruiting budget, staffing consultants and attending events.
  • Conducting year-end analysis on recruiting results and develop recommendations for improvements; ensuring accurate and timely candidate data updates within appropriate recruiting tools.
  • Providing input into the semi-annual review process for consultants who have contributed to the source recruiting strategy and execution.
  • Working with the North America recruiting team to continue to innovate our recruiting practices.
  • Taking on additional responsibilities and special projects throughout the year and/or as they arise.
You will be an integral member of the McKinsey Chicago location as well as the broader North America campus recruiting team. Your work will help to deliver on our overall NA recruiting priorities.

Your qualifications and skills
  • Undergraduate degree required
  • 2+ years of recruiting experience, with knowledge of professional services-based recruiting a strong plus
  • Excellent organization capabilities, including the ability to initiate and coordinate multiple tasks independently and see them through to completion
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment; growth mindset and willingness to dive in where priorities require leadership
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, in English and local office language(s), with the ability to adjust your style to suit different perspectives and seniority levels
  • Proficient in rational decision making based on data, facts, and logical reasoning
  • Ability to create work product-focused materials/outputs, which may include PowerPoint decks, Excel models, articles, or other written deliverables
  • Ability to build great relationships with candidates, consultants at all levels, and recruiting colleagues; a positive open attitude and a sense of fun
  • Demonstrated initiative, judgment and maturity; track record as self-starter; mindful of external reputation; discreet, respectful and caring with confidential information
  • Exceptional time management to meet your responsibilities and be able to work effectively under pressure and navigate with ambiguity; flexibility to deal with last-minute changes; comfortable working with minimal direction
  • Ability to look beyond own responsibilities in order to help team members with more urgent deadlines as needed
  • Ability to work or attend meetings outside of traditional business hours; travel to campus as needed

is $90,400 - $113,000 USD -to help you understand what you can expect. This reflects our best estimate of the lowest to highest
[salary/hourly wages] for this role at the time of this posting, ensuring you have a clear picture right from the start, though it's important
to remember that actual salaries may vary. Factors like your office location, your unique blend of experience and skills, start date and our current
organizational needs all play a part in determining the final figure. Certain roles are also eligible for bonuses, subject to McKinsey's discretion
and based on factors such as individual and/or organizational performance.
