BID/JOB ANNOUNCEMENT Training Officer, B14 CHICAGO DEPARTMENT OF AVIATION TRAINING DIVISION Number of Positions: 1 (Additional vacancies possible pending budget approval) Starting Salary: $73,140.00 Applications for this position will be accepted until 11:59pm CDT on June 10, 2025. This position is covered under the City's collective bargaining agreement with AMERICAN FEDERATION OF STATE, COUNTY, AND MUNICIPAL EMPLOYEES (AFSCME) - BARGAINING UNIT 1, 3, 4 & 5. Select your correct bargaining unit FAILURE TO FOLLOW THESE INSTRUCTIONS WILL RESULT IN A REJECTED BID APPLICATION ESSENTIAL DUTIES * Identify, develop and implement vital training requirements and assist the Organizational Development section's Training Director to implement a comprehensive training program for all CDA staff. * Analyze training progress on a continual basis and recommend new or revised training modules as needed. * Design and develop training curriculums, facilitate training sessions, and provide necessary budget input. * Ensuring CDA is following all City of Chicago Mandatory Training Requirements. * Develop eLearning courses using the application Articulate 360. * Develop and maintain training records through the Learning Management System. * Facilitate CDA New Employee Orientation and assigned training topics.

LOCATION: Chicago Department of Aviation - Aviation Administration Building 10510 W. Zemke Road BUREAU: Training Division DAYS & HOURS: MONDAY-FRIDAY 8:30 A.M. - 4:30 P.M. THIS POSITION IS IN THE CAREER SERVICE. Qualifications
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Graduation from an accredited college or university with a bachelor's degree supplemented by three years of training or teaching experience, or an equivalent combination of training and experience. NOTE: The candidates selected for hire must pass an airport background check and a Security Threat Assessment. NOTE: Must be flexible for early and/or late meetings and weekends. NOTE: This position requires a VALID DRIVER'S LICENSE at the time of hire. NOTE: This position will support both O'Hare Airport and Midway Airport. Selection Criteria: This position requires applicants to complete an interview which will include a written assessment. The interviewed candidate(s) possessing the qualifications best suited to fulfill the responsibilities of the position, based on the interview and assessment, will be selected.
