Summary
As a Senior Procurement Specialist, Sourcing Agent, at DSV, you will take a leadership role in managing the sourcing processes and strategies. Your focus will be on optimizing risk-mitigated sourcing activities to achieve cost savings, supply chain continuity, master data integrity, new business wins, and a driven operational efficiency that ensures high-quality goods and services for the company.
Duties and Responsibilities
* Develop and implement strategies to optimize sourcing processes, supply chain continuity, and achieve cost savings.
* Identify opportunities for new business, supplier consolidation, contract renegotiation, and cost reduction initiatives.
* Establish and maintain strong relationships with key suppliers to affect favorable terms, pricing, and supplier alignment with DSV operational goals.
* Streamline and standardize sourcing processes to improve efficiency, reduce cycle times, and enhance productivity.
* Implement best practices and automation tools to optimize operational workflows and reduce manual effort.
* Conduct cost analysis and spend analytics to identify opportunities for cost reduction and optimization.
* Lead cost-saving initiatives, such as competitive bidding, volume discounts, and value engineering projects.
* Assess and mitigate sourcing risks, including supply chain disruptions, supplier quality issues, and regulatory compliance.
* Develop risk mitigation strategies and contingency plans to minimize potential impacts on operations.
* Promote supplier diversity and sustainability initiatives by identifying and engaging with diverse and sustainable suppliers.
* Incorporate sustainability criteria into supplier selection, evaluation, and contract negotiations.
* Collaborate with internal stakeholders, such as logistics, operations, finance, and legal teams, to understand sourcing needs and requirements.
* Coordinate sourcing activities with other departments to ensure alignment and support organizational goals.
* Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics to track sourcing performance, savings, and master data enhancements.
* Prepare regular reports and presentations on sourcing activities and achievements for management and stakeholders.
* Stay informed about market trends and industry developments to identify new business, cost savings, and process improvement opportunities.
* May provide guidance, training, and execution feedback to a project team of sourcing agents, specialists, or analysts.
Educational background / Work experience
* Bachelor's degree in business administration, supply chain management, procurement, or a related field. Master's degree or professional certifications in procurement or supply chain management are preferred.
* Minimum of 5-7 years of progressive experience in procurement or strategic sourcing roles, with a proven track record of delivering cost savings and process improvements in a corporate environment.

Computer Literacy
* Proficient in using Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).

For this position, the expected base pay is: $68,000 - $92,000 / Annual. Actual base compensation will be determined based on various factors including job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and other objective business considerations.
