Position Summary
The Researcher 1 will perform research-related work assignments within the field of cardiology and resuscitation science under close supervision. The position involves experimental design assistance, data collection and analysis, equipment maintenance, and contributing to scientific documentation and publications. This role is ideal for individuals seeking to gain foundational research experience in a dynamic and collaborative biomedical research environment.

Responsibilities
This job description is not intended to encompass all responsibilities and may be adapted based on research needs.
* Experimental Support and Data Collection - 40%
Assist with the design and execution of experiments, including preparation and setup. Collect biological data, particularly related to cardiac interventions in animal models, under established protocols.
* Data Analysis and Recordkeeping - 20%
Analyze experimental data using standard methods and software tools. Maintain detailed, accurate records of procedures, observations, and results.
* Laboratory Maintenance and Compliance - 15%
Clean, calibrate, and maintain laboratory equipment. Ensure compliance with safety and regulatory guidelines, including animal care protocols.
* Research Documentation and Communication - 15%
Assist in preparing and editing documentation for grants, regulatory submissions, presentations, manuscripts, and internal reports. Help disseminate findings within the team and to collaborators.
* Literature Review and Lab Collaboration - 10%
Conduct background literature reviews. Participate in lab meetings and engage with team members to troubleshoot or improve experimental methods.

Required Qualifications:
BA/BS BA/BS degree, or a combination of education and relevant work experience to equal at least four years

Preferred Qualifications:
* Previous research experience in a laboratory setting.
* Familiarity with laboratory instruments and experimental techniques.
* Ability to follow instructions accurately and work both independently and collaboratively.
* Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
* Interest in biomedical or cardiovascular research.

Pay Range: $20.00/hour - $38.44/hour; depending on education/qualifications/experience
