About the Job

Specific duties include in collaborating and coordinating with other lab members to facilitate ongoing research studies, planning and executing experiments independently, gathering and analyzing data, calibrating and maintenance of laboratory equipment and other duties as assigned.

25% Medication measurement - Collect specimens from clinical research studies for measurement of medications in biological samples.

25% Cell culture - Grow and maintain cells - using sterile technique - to be further used in molecular and cellular biology experiments.

20% Sensory assessment response - Assist Neuropharmacological research team with rodent sensory assessment response evaluation.

20% Operant conditioning - Assist Neuropharmacological research team with rodent operant conditioning studies.

5% Data analysis - Interpret and analyze data from experiment studies.

5% Equipment - Develop methods and preventative maintenance on equipment, including routine testing.

Qualifications

All required qualifications must be included in the application materials

Required Qualifications:
High School diploma or equivalent and some college coursework Previous lab experience.

Preferred Qualifications:
Current undergraduate student with a study focus in Neuroscience.

Neuroscience is the scientific study of the nervous system. It is an interdisciplinary science that collaborates with other fields such as chemistry, computer science, engineering, linguistics, mathematics, medicine and allied disciplines, philosophy, physics, and psychology.

Pay and Benefits

Pay Range: $15.25 per hour - $16.25 per hour depending on education/qualifications/experience.
