Mass General Brigham is seeking a Board-Certified or Board-Eligible General Surgeon to join our Trauma and Acute Care Surgery program at Wentworth-Douglass Hospital in Dover, NH. This is a full-time position focused primarily on emergency general surgery, with a smaller component involving Level III trauma. Candidates must be comfortable managing trauma cases in a Level III Trauma Center and have demonstrated experience in this setting.

Our team is composed of highly experienced, fellowship-trained surgeons and Advanced Practitioners who are committed to excellence in acute care delivery and patient-centered outcomes.

What You'll Do:

  • Provide 24/7 trauma and acute care surgery coverage as part of a collaborative, hospital-based team
  • Focus primarily on emergency general surgery, with support for Level III trauma care
  • Work closely with Advanced Practitioners to support perioperative and post-operative care
  • Ensure continuity of care from admission to discharge in a holistic model
  • Collaborate directly with the Trauma Medical Director within a structured and progressive surgical program

What We're Looking For:

  • Board-Certified or Board-Eligible in General Surgery
  • Experience in trauma care, with a level of comfort and proven ability to manage cases in a Level III Trauma Center
  • ATLS certification required (or must be completed prior to start date)
  • Strong commitment to team-based care and continuous improvement
  • Eligibility for New Hampshire medical licensure
