Do you enjoy working outdoors and helping people? The Arboretum is looking for friendly and reliable Parking Attendants to assist with traffic and parking during busy times and special events. You'll help keep visitors safe, provide directions, and support our Security team. This role is great for those with good communication skills who want to be part of a welcoming team. Weekend and holiday shifts are required. Come help us make every visit a great experience! Position Summary:Provide assistance to Arboretum Security in maintaining a safe and orderly traffic and pedestrian flow during peak visitation periods. Perform a variety of tasks including security and safety operations, communicating Arboretum policies, and general assistance to staff and visitors. Essential Functions:
Qualifications: Previous public contact work experience desired. Ability to communicate well with the general public and exceptional customer service skills required. Must be physically fit and able to stand for prolonged periods of time in varying weather conditions. Must present a professional image to the public by following the Security dress code. Success Factors: Ability to be polite, informative, and helpful towards visitors. Ability to exercise sound judgment in dealing with the visiting public. The hiring rate for this position is $20.00/hour. This position is also eligible for acompetitive benefits package.
