The Wounded Warrior Project (WWP) Senior Marketing & Campaign Strategist develops, executes, and evaluates marketing and communication strategies to strengthen the WWP brand and drive engagement with new and existing members. This role is responsible for creating, implementing, and refining marketing plans, including overseeing creative development and supporting multi-channel campaign execution.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Assist with developing and implementing effective media plans, including selecting appropriate channels, optimizing budgets, and tracking campaign performance.

  • Collaborate with internal teams and external vendors to create and execute marketing plans based on business goals, market conditions, and audience needs.

  • Coordinate and oversee marketing research initiatives as assigned.

  • Oversee the setup and management of marketing campaign infrastructure, including creating tracking links, integrating with analytics platforms, and aligning with reporting requirements; ensure accurate data capture and deliver regular performance reports to guide strategic decisions.

  • Serve as a trusted marketing advisor to key stakeholders and marketing and communications leaders by staying abreast of marketing channel best practices, trends, innovative ideas, strategies, and industry standards.

  • Manage the campaign creative development process by collaborating with marketing teammates and creative agencies to ensure messages and designs align with the media strategy and best practices for various communication channels.

  • Lead ongoing performance analysis of marketing campaigns to ensure alignment with KPIs and make real-time adjustments to optimize outcomes.

  • Maintain brand consistency across all materials and channels and serve as a brand ambassador by upholding the organization's voice, tone, and visual identity in internal and external communications.

  • Attend and actively participate in required training and/or meetings, including but not limited to New Teammate Orientation, WWP Cares, ASIST Suicide Prevention training, Leadership training, culture/team based training, or departmental huddles.

  • Other related duties as assigned.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, & ABILITIES

  • Ability to manage relationships with creative and media buying agencies, optimize campaigns to meet KPIs, and adapt strategies in response to shifting priorities.

  • Strong analytical skills, with the ability to interpret both quantitative and qualitative data, identify trends and issues, diagnose root causes, and draw actionable insights.

  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities, meet tight deadlines, and maintain strong attention to detail in a fast-paced environment.

  • Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills, with the ability to convey complex information clearly, engage stakeholders effectively, and ask insightful, strategic questions.

  • Skilled at synthesizing data and insights into clear, actionable recommendations for leadership and cross-functional teams.

  • Proficient in tracking and analyzing marketing performance metrics such as reach, engagement, and conversions to identify areas for optimization.

  • Deep understanding of core marketing principles, including branding, audience segmentation, targeting, and positioning.

  • Working knowledge of customer relationship management (CRM) platforms and digital analytics tools such as Google Analytics.

  • Strong collaboration and relationship-building skills, with demonstrated success working in cross-functional, team-oriented environments.

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).

  • Experience using Monday.com or similar project management software.

EXPERIENCE

Requirements

  • Five years of experience developing, executing, and managing multi-channel marketing campaigns.

  • Five years of experience working with creative and media buying agencies to execute and manage paid advertising campaigns across digital and traditional channels.

  • Three years of experience working with market research companies.

Preferences

  • Two years of experience using the Google Analytics platform.

  • Two years of experience using Salesforce Marketing Cloud or a similar marketing campaign automation platform.

  • One year of experience working with a non-profit organization.

EDUCATION

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in marketing, communications, or related field. Equivalent combination of applicable education, training, certification, and experience may be considered in lieu of degree.

Preferences

  • Master's degree in marketing, communications, or data analytics.
