Cleveland Brothers Equipment Co., Inc., your local Caterpillar dealership, is looking for a highly motivated self-starter to join our growing team of established and successful professionals.

Position Summary:

The Recruiter will research, develop, and implement effective recruiting and staffing strategies to attract a diverse pool of qualified and capable talent to the organization.

Key Responsibilities:



  • Source & Attract: Use a blend of digital platforms (LinkedIn, Indeed, niche trade job boards, etc.), community outreach, and referral networks to engage skilled tradespeople.

    • Ability to source and recruit skilled tradespeople


  • Tech-Driven Recruitment: Leverage CRM, ATS, and recruitment automation tools to streamline the hiring process.
  • Candidate Engagement: Build and nurture talent pipelines by proactively engaging with passive and active candidates through text, video, and social channels.
  • Workforce Branding: Collaborate with ADP marketing to craft authentic employer brand messages tailored to skilled trades audiences.
  • Community & Educational Partnerships: Develop and maintain strong relationships with trade schools, high schools, vocational programs, community colleges, workforce development boards, and being on the school advisory boards / helping with competitions.
  • On-Site Representation: Represent the company at career fairs, community job expos, apprenticeship events, and host in-person presentations at trade schools and local events to promote careers in skilled trades.
  • Compliance & Process: Ensure hiring practices comply with labor laws, industry standards, and internal policies.



Skills, Knowledge, Qualifications:




  • Excellent verbal and written communication skill
  • 3+ years of recruiting experience, ideally with a focus on skilled trades, vocational, or industrial roles OR CB technician experience with the ability to learn recruiting.
  • Deep understanding of Equipment/ Industrial Technician industry career paths
  • Familiarity with modern recruiting platforms (ATS like ADP, Kenexa/Brassring, Workday; CRMs; sourcing tools).
  • Strong interpersonal and presentation skills with the ability to build relationships with candidates and community stakeholders.
  • Comfortable with public speaking and delivering engaging presentations to groups of all sizes.
  • Tech-savvy with a passion for innovation in recruitment strategies and workforce development.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with good negotiation tactics.
  • Ability to interact with diverse groups.
  • Ability to create and implement sourcing strategies for recruitment for a variety of roles.
  • Proactive and independent with the ability to take initiative.
  • Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
  • Ability to learn and understand laws, regulations, and best practices applicable to hiring and recruitment.
  • Proficient with or the ability to quickly learn applicant-tracking software or other recruitment systems including social media platforms.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.



Education and Experience:

* High School diploma, or post-secondary technical school, or work experience acceptable to the company.

* Recruitment and hiring process experience preferred but not required.

Physical Requirements:

* Must be able to travel throughout the company's territory as needed.

* Occasional overnight travel outside of the territory.
