Summary:

The Vendor Relations Coordinator is responsible for managing an assigned territory and all vendors within that territory. The VRC will think/work strategically analyzing and forecasting their territory's needs, monitoring current vendor's capacity and performance. VRC will also be responsible for negotiating prices, as well as, coaching and training vendors. The VRC will be held accountable for the performance and capacity of the vendors in their assigned territory.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
  • Interact with vendors to ensure adequate communication regarding goal setting, performance, work flow guidelines, and other vendor related responsibilities
  • Manage vendor productivity, monitor workload, and ensure that quality standards and revenue goals are consistently achieved
  • Support and ensure compliance with client, office, and company standards, policies, and procedures for all vendors within an assigned territory
  • Provide and communicate vendor guidance, tools, best practices, and training needs
  • Identify, research, and effectively communicate any systemic or process issues found; facilitate, communicate, and implement resolutions when appropriate
  • Monitor and maintain compliance scores in order to improve vendor performance and appropriately allocate work
  • Provide analysis of territory for strategic planning for future opportunities
  • Successfully negotiate pricing with new and existing vendors to ensure that they are aligned with current MCS rates and closely related to the necessary rates for the local area
  • Perform vendor audits to ensure vendors are following proper policies and work flow guidelines and are in compliance with Client, office, and MCS company standards, policies, and procedures

  • Must be able to work overtime as needed
  • Proficient to advanced PC Skills including (but not limited to) MS Word, MS Excel, email, internet and customized database management
  • Must be able to read and/or interpret numbers and letters correctly
  • Must work with numbers to calculate timeframe and evaluate costs and losses
  • Must demonstrate organization and prioritization skills to manage time
Education and Experience:

Education: Four year college degree or equivalent work experience

Experience: Six months internal or mortgage and or financial services industry experience
