National Accounts Manager- Foodservice Sales & Alternate Channels

The National Accounts Manager, Foodservice & Alternate Channels is responsible for growing new business and cultivating relationships with customers and distributors while executing sales initiatives that will drive growth to meet the targets of Tree Top's strategic plan. This position manages the foodservice and alternative channel customers, distributors and brokers, delivering profitable revenue within allocated trade funding and sales expenses. This position is accountable for identifying and opening new channels and accounts within Foodservice, Vending and National Convenience. The position gains volumes that support the Foodservice strategy and growth initiatives in efforts to meet annual budget commitments. In addition, the position builds and maintains relationships with accounts at all levels.

WORKING RELATIONSHIPS:

This position reports to the Director of Sales, Foodservice Alternate Channels and does not supervise staff. The position works closely with Foodservice Sales, Marketing, Customer Service, Research and Development, QA, Operations and distributors.

QUALIFICATIONS FOR ENTRY:

KNOWLEDGE OF:



  • Experience building national demand and distribution for Foodservice, Vending and National C-Store wholesalers. Prior experience calling on DOT Foods, Vistar and National chain accounts
  • Principles and practices of selling strategies and methodologies.
  • Principles and practices of strategic planning and execution.
  • Structuring sales quota goals and revenue expectations.
  • Contracting, negotiation, and change management.
  • Pertinent federal, state, and local laws, codes, and regulations.


ABILITY TO:



  • Effectively manage the sales process.
  • Maintain confidential and sensitive information.
  • Think strategically to drive organization-wide sales results.
  • Gain cooperation through discussion and persuasion.
  • Identify, research, and analyze problems; identify alternative solutions and project consequences of proposed actions.
  • Gather, evaluate and interpret information, particularly as it relates to funding sources, market issues and trends.
  • Effectively organize, plan and execute.
  • Use computers and computer software including word processing, spreadsheets and databases.
  • Meet behaviors established in Tree Top's performance management and development process.


EXPERIENCE, CERTIFICATION/LICENSES, AND TRAINING:



  • A bachelor's degree and/or equivalent work experience required.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in foodservice sales, vending sales with customers and distributors, including broker management with a proven track record of success.
