Job Title: Product Manager

Location: Southfield, MI

Work Arrangement: ON-SITE

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced HR Manager to join our automotive supplier company. This role is responsible for overseeing all human resources functions, including recruitment, employee relations, compliance, performance management, training, and organizational development. The ideal candidate will support a fast-paced manufacturing environment by ensuring HR strategies align with business goals and fostering a culture of continuous improvement.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

* Manage the product roadmap and market strategy, that includes analyzing and understanding drivers in the P&Ls, managing profitability, margin improvement projects, planning and presenting product line reviews with minimal oversight.

* Define the product offering, identify gap closures, and exceed customer needs by creating vision, strategy and requirements for products; utilizing available studies (i.e., market research and internal data) and competitive analysis to identify customer needs; identifying relevant components of a competitive analysis.

* Understand and manage product/service life cycles, profitability, demand planning, new product/services development ideation and process management, competitive offerings.

* Lead and influence cross-functional teams to execute on product development, integration, and commercialization plans to deliver on business case.

* Demonstrate expertise at the product level, build partnerships with relevant stakeholder teams, and make trade-off decisions for products.

* Provide direction to cross-functional teams, including engineering teams and business functions, communicating the product roadmap and keeping the team informed of updates and changes.

* Face-to-face communication with external customers to influence and pursue new business opportunities, while driving complex private label or branded launch strategies.

Minimum Requirements:

Education:

* Bachelor's degree

Experience:

* 2+ years of team management experience.

* 5+ years of relevant experience in marketing, product management, project management, engineering. Preferably in aftermarket automotive.

* Experience owning/driving roadmap strategy and definition.

* Experience with stage gate product management.

* Experience communicating with VP-level decision makers.

* 5+ years' experience with Product strategy.

Skills:

* Excellent communication (written and verbal), presentation and interpersonal skills.

* Strong collaboration ability with engineering, sales, marketing, supply chain and operations.

* Ability to understand P&L, cost structures and margin drivers.

* Ability to establish strong relationships with customers and partners in commercializing new products.

* Proficiency with a CRM system and SAP

* Detail-oriented with exceptional follow-up, critical thinking, project management and time management skills.

* Develop product strategy aligning with roadmap including defining market opportunity, competitive landscape, and product KPIs.

* Travel domestic and international up to 30%.

* Strong leadership skills, with the ability to influence and drive alignment across executives.

* Comfortable being out-front within the organization and interacting at all levels with multinational teams.

* Passion for building products at scale with a focus on customer experience.

* Excellent written and verbal communication skills with proven ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional partners and deliver strong results.

* Demonstrated ability in benchmarking and assessing competitive landscape.

* Ability to work in ambiguous environments and overcome challenges with a high degree of flexibility and professionalism.
