POSITION SPECIFICS

The Academic Program Specialist for UG Pre-Major Programs and Pathways will provide strategic leadership and operational oversight for academic policy development, implementation, and evaluation of TRN admissions, change of academic program, and entrance-to-major requirements and processes, with a continuous focus on creating equity among diverse student populations, leading the development and continuous improvement of the Pre-Major program, monitoring and adjusting the pre-major designations to align with the evolving goals and needs of the college.

This person will serve as a primary resource and collaborator for all engineering pre-major advising units across all campuses, College of Engineering Undergraduate Program Coordinators and Directors, and current and prospective students. They will build strong relationships with and function as the college liaison to other colleges and departments across the university as a resource to interpret and apply college and university academic policies to College of Engineering students, ensuring alignment in academic processes, adapting and evolving them as necessary to address emerging student needs promptly and effectively. This person will work with very minimal supervision on challenging tasks and work assignments, collaborate with stakeholders and the supervisor on atypical matters to ensure the best outcomes for students.

MINIMUM EDUCATION, WORK EXPERIENCE & REQUIRED CERTIFICATIONS

Bachelor's Degree 3+ years of relevant experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience accepted Required Certifications: None

SALARY & BENEFITS

The salary range for this position, including all possible grades, is $56,200.00 - $81,500.00.
