Perry County Children and Youth Services has an immediate opening for an experienced and ambitious Fiscal Assistant. This county government role performs responsible accounting work providing fiscal support to the agency. DESCRIPTION OF WORK

As a Fiscal Assistant, you will prepare and maintain Agency purchase of service agreements and independent contractor contracts, assuring accuracy of provider rates and obtaining all required supporting documentation initially and ongoing. Work involves monitoring of purchased provider clearances and insurance. You will be responsible for written and verbal communication with stakeholders. Key to this position is completion of contract monitoring duties for all Agency contracts, including analyzation and data entry of provider progress notes/encounter forms and purchased provider site visits; in order to evidence services and ensure compliance. In this role, you will perform data entry of necessary program and fiscal related information into Agency's data collection system and maintain existing data.

Other duties to include but not limited to:

  • Cross training with other fiscal staff
  • Performing related fiscal duties as back-up or overflow
  • Completing and submitting reports and forms as required
  • Preparing fiscal reports as needed for Administrator and Fiscal Officer

The Fiscal Assistant is an integral part in the work of Perry County Children and Youth providing services and keeping children and families safe, as program and fiscal go hand in hand.

Work Schedule and Additional Information:

  • Full-time employment
  • Work hours are 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, Monday - Friday, with 60-minute lunch.
  • Telework: You will not have the option to telework in this position.
  • Salary: In some cases, the starting salary may be non-negotiable.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY

QUALIFICATIONS

Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:

  • Two years of experience performing bookkeeping or clerical accounting work; or
  • An associate degree in accounting or business administration including or supplemented by 6 credits in accounting; or
  • Any equivalent combination of experience and training.
  • Applicants will be considered to have met the educational requirements once they are within 3 months of graduating with a qualifying degree.

Other Requirements:

  • You must be able to perform essential job functions.

Legal Requirements:

  • You must pass a background investigation.
  • This position falls under the provisions of the Child Protective Services Law.
    • Under the Law, a conditional offer of employment will require submission and approval of satisfactory criminal history reports including, but not limited to, PA State Police clearance, PA Child Abuse history clearance, and FBI Fingerprint clearance.
