Description Medical Group Practices Req #: 35375 Management/Leadership MaineHealth Surgical Care - Southern Region This large and growing division of MaineHealth consists of multiple surgical sub specialties across three locations. In Portland, our Care Team specialist in Pediatric Surgery, General Surgery, Acute Care Surgery, Surgical Oncology and Endocrine Surgery. At this location we have diagnostic ultrasound and an ambulatory procedure room. In Scarborough, our Care Team specializes in Colorectal Surgery and Minimally Invasive Surgery. In Biddeford we are care for patients with Breast and General Surgery needs. This dynamic group consist of 35 Surgeons, 19 APPs, 16 RNs and 8 MAs. This is a dynamic role will support Clinical Operations and Supervisors in Portland and Scarborough as well as compliance and clinical competency levels in Biddeford, Portland and Scarborough. Home office for the Clinical Manger is Portland, with time being split as needed across all three locations. This position requires primarily in-office leadership with a day-shift schedule with varying hours, based on need of the Care Teams. Summary: The Manager - Clinical Ambulatory Care is responsible for supervising and overseeing all operational aspects of the clinical department, including clinical services and staffing needs. The Clinical Manager is responsible for coordinating the clinical work flow in order to provide the most efficient, effective, safe and comprehensive patient care. The Clinical Manager will work with physicians, midlevel providers and clinical staff to increase the volume of clinical outpatient services, referral process, patient flow, and maximize the productivity of each practice location. Required Minimum Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs) 1. Education: Bachelor's Degree in Nursing preferred. 2. License/Certifications: Current State of Maine RN license required. Current BLS Certification required or must obtain within 30 days of start date. 3. Experience: Five years of experience in the nursing field required. Supervisory experience strongly preferred. Surgical ambulatory operations experience preferred.
