The Department of Anatomy and Physiology in the College of Veterinary Medicine at Kansas State University invites applications for a 9- or 12-month tenure-track or clinical-track, Assistant or Associate Professor position in Veterinary Comparative and Human Gross Anatomy. The appointment includes 80-90% teaching, primarily in the professional (DVM) program and in the one-year, non-thesis MS program (OYM), which began in Summer 2020. Opportunities may also exist to teach in histology. Approximately 10-20% effort is expected in research or teaching scholarship and service. Candidates must have a DVM and/or PhD (non-DVMs must hold a PhD). The successful applicant will join a team of five anatomists who actively collaborate in teaching, research, and educational scholarship. About Us The Department of Anatomy and Physiology is multi-disciplinary with responsibilities in instruction, research, service and continuing education including the disciplines of gross and microscopic anatomy, cell and systems physiology, pharmacology, toxicology and neuroscience. Research strengths in the department include: epithelial physiology, electrophysiology, exercise physiology and heart failure, animal welfare and pain management, neuroscience, stem cell biology, toxicology, teaching methods, and veterinary clinical pharmacology.
