Reporting to the Membership Director and working within the team of development professionals that secures membership support for WPR and PBS Wisconsin, the Membership Fundraising Manager develops, leads and executes multi-channel campaigns with a special focus on the core techniques that drive annual giving by members: direct mail and email campaigns to prospective and current members; stewardship of the large and dedicated community of sustaining donors for each organization; and oversight of vendor partners who conduct telemarketing and canvassing activities. This role works in close collaboration with colleagues in Membership and Major Giving to coordinate messaging and strategy and grow support through emerging fundraising channels. The person in this position will also support member drives for WPR and PBS Wisconsin as needed, including writing scripts and staffing pre-scheduled shifts as a fundraising producer.

The Membership Fundraising Manager's responsibilities center on the operational management, analysis, and continuous improvement of membership fundraising techniques for WPR and PBS Wisconsin. Success in this role will rely on:
- Written and verbal communication skills to craft effective cross-channel fundraising messages, provide clear direction for vendor partners and team members, and contribute ideas and constructive feedback on collaborative projects.
- Strategic thinking and analysis skills to evaluate outcomes and continuously improve fundraising efforts.
- Strong self-organization, attention to detail and time management skills to manage multiple projects, coordinate logistics and meet deadlines.
- Dedication to continuous learning, openness to new ideas and flexibility to adapt to change.

A typical workday for the Membership Fundraising Manager includes both independent, focused work and frequent collaboration and communication with colleagues across WPR and PBS Wisconsin. Examples of common daily tasks include communicating with vendors to coordinate upcoming campaigns; writing and proofing fundraising copy for mail, email or broadcast; editing and suggesting improvements to copy written by colleagues; analyzing data and reports from fundraising activities; and taking part in webinars and other learning opportunities to gather new ideas and best practices. During periods of peak activity, like member drives, work can be fast-paced and require quick pivots to address challenges and ensure goals are met.
