We build and operate a critical platform service that safeguards cryptographic keys, secrets, certificates, and other sensitive assets for Microsoft and its customers. Our mission is to empower developers and enterprises to protect their data and applications with confidence, using scalable, resilient, and compliant security primitives. As part of the Identity and Access Management division, Azure Key Vault plays a foundational role in enabling secure identity, authentication, and authorization scenarios across Azure and Microsoft 365. Our service supports a wide range of use cases-from securing secrets for cloud-native applications to enabling hardware-backed key protection for regulated industries. We collaborate closely with partner teams across Azure Compute, Storage, Networking, and Compliance to ensure that Key Vault meets the highest standards of security, performance, and reliability. Our engineers work on distributed systems, cryptographic protocols, secure APIs, and large-scale telemetry pipelines. ResponsibilitiesManage a range of talented engineers, spanning various career stages including managers and individual contributors. Attract and retain great talent; know each individual's capabilities & aspirations and invest in the growth of others. Help the team adapt and learn; model resourcefulness and initiative to meet product objectives. Identify opportunities & evaluate effectiveness working with multiple external co-development engineering teams. Collaborate amongst a cross-functional leadership team to deliver engineering solutions that match project goals & timelines.Drive technical excellence across the team, making technology choices that scale to millions of players across a variety of hardware endpoints. Develop engineering systems & culture centered around continuous feature delivery, demonstrating progress in build and quickly addressing customer needs.Identify & direct engineering investments necessary for continuous measurement against product quality goals.
