Job Summary:

Are you passionate about innovation, precision engineering, and building technology that connects the world? Belden Inc. is looking for a driven Mechanical Design Engineer to help bring bold ideas to life in our Broadband Solutions Division.

In this critical role, you'll design cutting-edge products that power communication networks across the globe. You'll play a hands-on role in developing both new and existing product lines, while collaborating closely with internal teams and external partners. What you will do



  • Design, develop, and enhance products related to the telecommunications industry and the assigned department utilizing SolidWorks.
  • Work on driving cost out of the designs of high-volume products, this includes preparing and submitting target designs and project schedules to meet cost reduction goals.
  • Serve as an integral part of new product development teams and work from conception through production.
  • Participate in product design reviews.
  • Prototyping /modeling design.
  • Test mechanical and electrical properties to ensure quality and reliability. Provide support in the field as needed.


What you will bring



  • Education & Experience - Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering or a related discipline with one (1) or more years of design experience.
  • Knowledge & Skills - CAD programs, SolidWorks experience a plus. Prior injection molding and metal stamping experience a plus.

Applicants can expect a base compensation range of $74,600-$112,000 plus benefits and additional incentives based on the level of the role. This is the reasonable estimate that Belden believes it might pay for this job based on applicable circumstances at the time of posting. Belden may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range as permitted by law, and commensurate with the applicant's experience, qualifications, and geographical location.
