Job Purpose: Sanmina is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Manufacturing Program Management Intern to join our dynamic team. This internship offers a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in the end-to-end lifecycle of manufacturing programs, working alongside experienced Program Managers and cross-functional teams. You will contribute to the planning, execution, and monitoring of key manufacturing initiatives, gaining valuable insights into project management methodologies within a global manufacturing environment. Duties/Responsibilities:
- Project Support: Assist Program Managers in the day-to-day management of manufacturing programs, including tracking progress, managing timelines, and coordinating tasks.
- Documentation & Reporting: Support the creation and maintenance of project documentation, including project plans, schedules, status reports, and meeting minutes.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with engineering, production, quality, supply chain, and other teams across Sanmina's global network to ensure effective communication and alignment throughout the program lifecycle.
- Data Analysis & Tracking: Assist in collecting, analyzing, and reporting on key program metrics, identifying potential risks and issues.
- Risk & Issue Management: Support the identification, documentation, and tracking of potential risks and issues, and assist in developing mitigation plans.
- Process Improvement: Contribute to the identification and implementation of process improvements within the program management framework, potentially leveraging Sanmina's global best practices.
- Meeting Facilitation: Assist in scheduling, preparing agendas, and documenting outcomes for program-related meetings.
- Learning & Development: Actively seek opportunities to learn about Sanmina's manufacturing processes, project management methodologies and industry best practices within the EMS sector.
- Special Projects: Participate in ad-hoc projects and initiatives as assigned by the Program Management team, potentially involving collaboration with Sanmina sites worldwide.
Education and Experience:
- Currently pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering (Manufacturing, Industrial, Mechanical, Electrical), Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
- Strong academic standing.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
- Detail-oriented with a strong focus on accuracy.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Project is a plus).
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to interact professionally with diverse teams in a global environment.
- A proactive and eager-to-learn attitude with a strong interest in manufacturing and project management within the electronics industry.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
