Responsibilities

Assists with the operation of the Plant Operations department. Coordinator is responsible for maintaining the Environment of Care, Joint Commission requirements, Total Maintenance System (TMS) paperwork, department files and logs. All other duties as required for the department.

Qualifications

Experience required: Computer literate and 1 year experience in a healthcare environment.

Education required: High School Diploma and some college preferred.

Special qualifications: Typing, computer skills, graphics, specific software application, and good people skills; Knowledge and understanding of building, electrical, and life safety codes and their application in the healthcare industry;

Knowledge and understanding of Texas Department of Health Hospital Licensing Standards;

Knowledgeable about the 7 parts of the Environment of Care;

Knowledgeable in the operation of most physical plant equipment;

Knowledgeable in the use of computers, printers, facsimile machine, and copier equipment.

Has an understanding of budget development, management, and control.
