Job Description

GENERAL PURPOSE
Under direction of the Operations Management, the co-op will perform projects and tasks in support of New Product Development, Process Control initiatives, and identified cost reduction opportunities.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
* Apply principles learned in school to hands-on situations, such as process and precision investment castparts production, design and improvement
* Accomplish performance goals and receive progressive responsibilities in process and/or production throughout co-op experience
* Identify and recommend process improvements for specified projects
* Attend regular departmental meetings, training sessions, and other appropriate educational opportunities
* Will perform or review systems analysis, testing, and documentation for existing processes
* Participate on project teams for assigned projects, analyze improvements and new product/applications, and develop requirements and specifications with team
* Work within specifications provided to meet project goals and objectives in a timely and accurate manner
* Will take ownership and responsibility for identified projects
* Other duties as assigned

TRAINING & QUALIFICATIONS
* Achieve a high competency level of assigned projects and tasks
* Demonstrate aptitude, work ethic, and strong communication skills
* Knowledge of related machining discipline function and technical skills
* Proficient with Microsoft Excel
* College level writing skills

* Previous internship/work experience preferred

* Must be pursuing a minimum of a bachelor's degree in Engineering, Hard Sciences (Chemistry, Physics, Mathematics, Computer Science).
* Must be enrolled in an accredited residential college
* Must have successfully completed freshman year

For informational purposes only, the range of pay for this role is $22.00 to $28.00 US Dollar (USD) Hourly based on a variety of factors. Employees will receive 0 hours paid time off every year. Employees will also receive 10 paid holidays. Employees (and their families) are eligible to participate in the company's medical, dental, vision, and basic life insurance. Employees are eligible to enroll in the Company's 401(k) plan.
This position requires use of information or access to production processes subject to national security controls under U.S. export control laws and regulations (including, but not limited to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) and the Export Administration Regulations (EAR)). To be qualified to work in this facility, a successful applicant must be a U.S. Person, as defined in those regulations, and able to supply evidence of that qualification prior to starting work or be authorized to receive controlled information under a specific license or permission from the relevant government agency.
