Overview
Clinical Coordinator - Practical Nursing The Clinical Coordinator for the Practical Nursing (PN) Program oversees the clinical education component, managing site partnerships, coordinating rotations, and verifying alignment with program objectives and regulatory standards. This role develops policies, evaluates student performance, and ensures clinical environments support learning outcomes. Working closely with faculty, the coordinator aligns clinical and didactic objectives while supporting students. Administrative duties include maintaining records, preparing reports, and contributing to accreditation and program reviews. Responsibilities
Principal Accountabilities & Deliverables
- Develop and maintain strong partnerships with clinical sites to facilitate student placements.
- Coordinate and schedule clinical rotations to align with course objectives and program requirements.
- Evaluate potential clinical sites to confirm they meet educational standards and program needs.
- Serve as the primary liaison between the program and clinical site representatives.
- Maintain documented monthly communications with all clinical affiliates, via a simple open newsletter or the like, to relay important clinical information, (i.e.: upcoming schedule changes, testing, documentation, etc.).
- Assign students to clinical rotations based on program requirements and individual student needs.
- Monitor student progress and performance during clinical experiences through collaboration with site preceptors and faculty.
- Address and resolve student or site-related issues promptly and professionally.
- Collaborate with faculty to align clinical objectives with didactic instruction.
- Organize and lead clinical orientation sessions for students and faculty.
- Develop, revise, and implement policies and procedures for clinical education components in accordance with accreditation and regulatory requirements.
- Compile and analyze data on clinical outcomes to support continuous program improvement.
- Attend all program graduation and pinning ceremonies.
- Support clinical faculty in delivering effective supervision and evaluation of students.
- Facilitate communication between faculty and clinical site staff to enhance the clinical learning environment.
- Maintain accurate documentation of clinical agreements, student placements, and evaluations.
- Prepare reports related to clinical education for accreditation and institutional review purposes.
- Participate in program review and accreditation processes as needed.
- Other duties as assigned.

- Experience directing and evaluating student learning and lab performance
Skills
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to build and maintain relationships with clinical sites, students, and faculty.
- Knowledge of regulatory and accreditation standards for nursing education.
- Familiarity with electronic health records (EHR) and other clinical documentation systems.
- Competency in data collection and analysis for program evaluation.
- Clinical Education Program Planning, Implementation, and Assessment of students, preceptors, and clinical sites
Abilities
- Ability to assess and adapt to the needs of diverse learning environments.

Work Environment
- Work is performed indoors in a climate-controlled environment when on site at assigned company location. Employees must be able to safely ambulate when on company premises.
