Detroit Defense is seeking an entry-level to early career-level candidate who is a detail-oriented and analytical Business Development Analyst to support our organization's growth initiatives. The ideal candidate will analyze market trends, competitors, identify business opportunities, and help develop strategies to drive revenue growth. This role requires strong analytical skills, data entry and interpretation capabilities, and a proactive approach to problem-solving.

The ideal candidate may be a recent college graduate or veteran who is local to Troy, MI (or willing to relocate.) This position is forecasted to be in the office full-time.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Conduct market research and competitive analysis to identify potential growth opportunities.
  • Analyze sales data, customer insights, and industry trends to assist in the development of actionable business strategies.
  • Assist in the development of business proposals, financial models, and feasibility studies.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including marketing, sales, and finance, to support business initiatives.
  • Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and generate reports to track business development success using the company's Customer Relationship Management (CRM) tool.
  • Support strategic planning efforts by identifying new markets, partnerships, and revenue streams.
  • Prepare presentations, reports, and recommendations for senior leadership.
  • Maintain a strong understanding of industry developments and emerging market trends.
  • Assist in identifying potential clients, partners, and investment opportunities.
  • Provide other operations and administrative support to the Business Development team.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in a relevant field of study such as Business Administration, Marketing or Engineering Management.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a United States Secret Clearance. Only applicants able to obtain a clearance will be considered for this position. The minimum requirement to obtain a clearance is United States Citizenship.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a data-driven mindset.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and data visualization tools.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred Skills:

  • Two plus years of experience in business analysis, market research, or business development.
  • Understanding of financial modeling and forecasting techniques.
  • Prior experience with the Department of Defense (DoD) is beneficial.
  • Knowledge of digital marketing trends and strategies.
  • Experience with CRM software and business intelligence tools is a plus.
