Senior IT Program Manager, Enterprise Infrastructure

Job Summary:

Enterprise Infrastructure & Technology Platforms (EITP) organization at McKesson aims to modernize and maintain the company's technology foundation while providing comprehensive infrastructure services across the enterprise. This team delivers secure and scalable networking and infrastructure solutions, supports the hosting and management of all cloud-enabled solutions, and ensures seamless technology experiences for end users. The Senior IT Program Manager is responsible for successfully delivering multiple projects that require networking and/or infrastructure services from various business units. This role involves partnering with business and technical users to build and execute robust project plans, develop risk mitigation strategies, and communicate effectively with stakeholders.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Manage cross-functional projects through all lifecycle phases, including planning, design, development, testing, implementation, support, and maintenance
  • Ensure projects are managed using McKesson delivery methodologies and cybersecurity standards
  • Provide leadership and direction to internal staff and external resources assigned to the project
  • Coordinate with stakeholders, including business units and EITP team members, to align project objectives and deliverables
  • Serve as the escalation point for project-related issues, providing timely resolutions and maintaining project momentum
  • Develop and implement project management methodologies and best practices to optimize project execution
  • Monitor and report on project progress, risks, and issues to senior management and stakeholders
  • Facilitate effective communication and collaboration among project teams, ensuring clarity and alignment
  • Coordinate and lead regular project steering committee meetings
  • Manage multiple projects simultaneously while meeting project-specific reporting requirements
  • Other duties may be assigned as needed to meet company goals

Minimum Requirements:

  • Minimum 7 years of experience leading IT projects and/or programs of varying scales
  • Experience in leading cross-functional teams and driving project success in a large matrixed organization
  • Knowledge of enterprise infrastructure technologies, such as servers, storage systems, networks, virtualization, databases, operating systems, and application delivery frameworks

Additional Qualifications:

  • Ability to lead multiple projects concurrently and prioritize among competing demands
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Demonstrated ability to interact effectively with senior leadership and stakeholders
  • Proven ability to build and maintain strong working relationships with diverse teams
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a focus on delivering practical solutions
  • Experience with project management tools and software, such as Planview and Jira

Certifications:

  • PMP or equivalent project management certification preferred

The pay range shown below is aligned with McKesson's pay philosophy, and pay will always be compliant with any applicable regulations. Our Base Pay Range for this position

$116,600 - $194,300
