Job Title: Student service Specialist/Admissions Counselor/ Financial Aid Specialist Pay Rate: $ 20.19/hr. on w2 without benefits Work location: 1151 S Forest Avenue Rm 206 Tempe, 85012 Duration: 4 months Hour/week: 40hr. / week Shift timings: 6 Am to 3 Pm Job Description: Posting/processing of private donor scholarship checks. Verifies accuracy of check postings. Works closely with Scholarship Services staff to ensure receipt and accurate posting of scholarship checks to students' accounts. Assists with reporting and monitoring of check receipt and posting. Desired Qualifications: Experience in critical thinking and problem solving. Demonstrated knowledge of Family Educational Rights and Privacy (FERPA) requirements. Evidence of effective written and verbal communication skills. Experience in basic computer software skills, such as Microsoft Office products, specifically Word and Excel. Demonstrated knowledge of the principles of exemplary customer service demonstrated through actively listening, acknowledging, and responding to every inquiry; taking ownership and resolving each concern or problem as appropriate; exhibiting professionalism and expertise in every interaction and engaging in professional development to meeting expectations for service excellence. Minimum Qualifications: Associate's degree in a field related to area of assignment AND one year experience in financial aid processing environment; OR, Three years of directly related experience; OR, Any equivalent combination of experience and/or education from which comparable knowledge, skills and abilities have been achieved.
