HarcoSemco is a Custom Aerospace Components Manufacturer. We have seen great success in innovating advanced manufacturing techniques in the design and fabrication of temperature sensors, thermocouple systems, interconnect cable-harness assemblies, probes, and sensors. For over 65 years, we have successfully supplied these products to the commercial, business, military jet, rotor, and spacecraft markets.
Located in Branford, CT, we have an opportunity for a results-driven and growth-oriented Business Development Manager (BDM). The Business Development Manager works collectively with Sales, Engineering, and Operations to drive Sales and Profitability.
This position must meet Export Control compliance requirements; therefore, a "US Person" as defined by 22 CFR 120.62, 15 CFR 734.2(b)(2)(ii), 10 CFR 810.3, 8 U.S.C. 1324b(a)(3) is required. "US Person" includes a US Citizen, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee. Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
The Business Development Manager (BDM) is responsible for handling the company's most important client accounts. The BDM will serve as the main point of contact for all key client matters and anticipate clients' needs. The BDM is also responsible for identifying new business and developing relationships with the goal of increasing Sales.
- Develop a solid and trusting relationship between major key clients.
- Resolve client issues and complaints.
- Develop a complete understanding of key account needs.
- Anticipate key account changes and improvements.
- Manage communications between key account clients and internal teams.
- Plan strategically to improve client results.
- Manage multiple projects, accounts, and clients.
- Negotiate contracts with clients and establish key timelines.
- Establish and manage internal and external budgets with clients.
- Work with the Engineering, Operations, Quality, and Finance teams to ensure the highest quality of materials and services are being produced and all client needs are met.
- Collaborate with the Sales team to maximize profit by up selling and/or cross-selling.
- Plan and present reports on account progress, goals, and quarterly initiatives to share with team members, stakeholders, and possible use in future case studies or company training.
- Analyze client data to provide customer relationship management.
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor's Degree from an accredited four-year college or university. MBA Preferred.
- At least five (5) years of professional-level experience in Aerospace applications, Industrial markets, or equivalent relevant experience
- Must have prior experience with business development, account management, and contract negotiation.
- Demonstrated effective Project Management.
