Work Schedule: Full Time -Average 40 hours a week - 12- hour day shifts (7am-7pm) including rotating weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities

The role of the Advanced Practitioner is to provide direct care to patients in the inpatient setting in collaboration with physicians.
Must have ability to identify and interpret diagnostic information, work independently, be a good communicator and enjoy working with others.
The Advanced Practitioner's role, in collaboration with licensed physicians, will be to participate in the evaluation, plan and management of general cardiology patients in the areas of interventional, CHF, EP, structural and general medical cardiology.
The role includes admissions, discharges, interpretation of diagnostic tests and results, daily progress notes and patient rounding, as well as communication to families and other medical professionals.
The provider should exhibit a passion for cardiology and be open to being part of a rapidly growing institution where adaptability is preferred.

Qualifications

* Graduate of an accredited Physician Assistant or APRN Program
* ACLS certification
Licensure
* Licensed, or eligible to be licensed, APRN or PA in the state of Connecticut
