Job Summary

The VP Product Innovation, Interoperability leads and owns the product strategy, roadmap prioritization, execution of product development and lifecycle of Surescripts Interoperability product portfolio in close collaboration with the Growth team, Product Platform, Sales, Marketing, Architects/Engineering, and other administrative and operational teams within Surescripts. The VP Product Innovation, Interoperability directs the end-to-end leadership of new and existing products from inception through all phases of the products' lifecycle in support of the segment strategy. The incumbent focuses on meeting the needs of the end users and the operational aspects of the portfolio.

Responsibilities
  • Develop a comprehensive product portfolio strategy from product conception and definition through product sunset.
  • Deliver key success metrics product delivery, product quality, and product utilization success metrics, and other operational aspects of the product portfolio.
  • Provide mentorship and leadership for the team(s) responsible for product management throughout the product lifecycle.
  • Ensure a consistent approach to product management processes is applied across all teams.
  • Represent the Voice of the End-User and drive user-centered innovation throughout the product portfolio.
  • Collaborate with the Strategy vertical leaders to prioritize portfolio resources to ensure the products meet the strategic and market needs of our customers and optimize operational expenses.
  • Collaborate with the Product Platform team to identify, prioritize, and drive cross-product value and efficiency opportunities
  • Collaborate with NT&O to define requirements, prioritize work, and manage the overall product roadmap.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally to prioritize ease of implementation, integration and support approaches.
  • Promote the use of new technologies, trends and industry-leading standards.
  • Represent and advocate for the product portfolio with internal and external executive-level audiences.
  • Collaborate with the Growth team on build/buy/partner proposals and new business cases for new solutions.
Qualifications

Basic Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.

  • 12+ years of experience in related, progressive roles.

  • 5+ years of experience working in health IT, PBM, pharmacy, payer, or healthcare-related field.

  • 7+ years of people management experience or experience in roles showing progressive leadership.

  • 5+ years of experience directly managing the overall success of a product or line of business.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Advanced degree in business, marketing or computer science.

  • Experience in a multi-sided network business.

  • Experience in User-Centered Research and Design Methods

At Surescripts, base pay is one part of our Total Rewards Package (which may also include bonus, benefits etc.) and is determined within a range. The base pay range for this position is $271,100 - $331,300 per year. Your base pay may vary within or outside of this range depending on a number of factors, including (but not limited to) your qualifications, skills, experience, and location.
