You'll play a pivotal role in ensuring operational efficiency, customer satisfaction, and fleet reliability in the heavy rail industry. Day-to-day, you'll work closely with teams across the business (functional managers, front-line supervisors, and administrative personnel), oversee compliance with regulatory requirements and safety standards, and much more." Ensuring increasing levels of customer and employee satisfaction while improving the efficiency of manpower, materials, and trainset reliability and availability. ,
Planning, developing, and implementing organizational policies and goals. ,
Coordinating activities of divisions or departments to ensure compliance with FRA regulations, Collective Bargaining agreements, Quality & Maintenance, and Safety standards to achieve operational efficiency and economy. ,
Analyzing department budget requests to identify areas for cost reductions and allocating operating budgets effectively. ,
Conferring with administrative personnel and reviewing activity, operating, and sales reports to determine necessary changes in programs or operations. ,
Directing the preparation of directives to division or department administrators outlining policy, program, or operational changes to be implemented. ,
Acting as a liaison with customers, operating departments, and outside agencies to address maintenance issues and ensure timely resolution of concerns. ,
Providing leadership for problem resolution to facilitate improvements and foster strong working relationships. ,
Identifying maintenance trends/issues and developing programs and procedures to ensure fleet reliability and availability. ,
Acting as contract administrator, overseeing all aspects of the relationship between Alstom and the customer."

Degree in Business Administration or a related field (or equivalent experience). ,
Experience or understanding of senior management responsibilities in the heavy rail industry, including customer service, maintenance, KPI management, budget preparation and control, and labor relations. ,
Knowledge of State, Municipal, and Local regulatory requirements, including CFR, FRA, and OSHA. ,
Familiarity with rail maintenance and operations (preferably Passenger Rail). ,
Strong communication and relationship-building skills to act as a liaison with customers, operating departments, and outside agencies. ,
Leadership and problem-solving skills to facilitate improvements and enhance working relationships. ,
Budget management and analytical skills to identify cost-saving opportunities and allocate resources effectively. ,
Adaptability to develop and implement organizational policies and goals in a dynamic environment. ,
