Music Publishing Specialist - 7+ years
Creative Services, Music Publishing Team This is a 12-month, full-time (40 hours/week), hybrid contract role located in Culver City, CA (in-office Tuesday through Thursday). Summary
This role focuses on building and nurturing relationships with key creative partners in the music publishing community. You will play a crucial role in identifying and delivering creative opportunities for songwriters, supporting their success within the company's platform and broader ecosystem. Our Ideal Candidate
7-10 years of experience in music publishing, creative services, or a related field
Passion for music and the creative arts with a strong foundation in relationship management and business development
Proficient in spreadsheet applications for tracking purposes (Excel, Airtable preferred)
Familiar with music production tools, with knowledge of Logic Pro considered a plus
Skilled in collaborating with cross-functional teams, including A&R, publishing, and creative partners
Able to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously
Flexible and adaptable to changing priorities, timelines, and stakeholders
Strong written and verbal communication with exceptional attention to detail
Social, engaging, and adept at fostering internal and external relationships
Job Description
In this role, you will foster exceptional relationships with music publishers, songwriters, and creative teams, driving innovative opportunities within the music publishing ecosystem.
You'll partner with internal stakeholders to align creative initiatives and support songwriters through direct engagement and collaboration with publishers, industry bodies, and other partners.
This includes coordinating visits from songwriters and producers, educating the community about platform opportunities, and ensuring consistent partnerships across teams.
You will also manage internal tools and resources to track creative initiatives and support the broader team's success and relationship strategies. Education and Experience
Bachelor's degree in Music Business, Communications, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience
Background in music publishing, creative services, or artist relations
Experience with project management and stakeholder engagement tools (e.g., Airtable, Excel)

The pay for this W-2 position ranges from $52.00 - $57.00 per hour.
