Description Acara Solutions is seeking a Senior Coastal Engineer to join our client on a Full Time Direct Hire opportunity located in either Tampa Bay FL or Boca Rotan FL Key Responsibilities: Lead technical design of coastal engineering projects, from feasibility through final design. Manage project scope, schedule, budget, and team coordination. Apply coastal engineering tools and analyses to design resilient shoreline solutions. Prepare engineering reports, specifications, regulatory applications, and proposals. Oversee and mentor coastal engineering staff. Support business development, marketing, and proposal efforts. Conduct field inspections and construction observations. Collaborate across disciplines on multi-faceted projects. Lead or contribute to beach renourishment, shoreline stabilization, coastal/marine structures, and resiliency efforts. Engage with clients, conferences, and technical organizations. Job Requirements Required Skills / Qualifications: Bachelor's in civil or Coastal Engineering PE Certification or able to obtain within 6 months 7+ years of experience in: Coastal engineering (beach renourishment, structures, resiliency) CAD, GIS, and MATLAB Proposal development and business development Preferred Skills / Qualifications: Deep understanding of coastal/marine environments Experience with coastal numerical modeling Strong data analysis and technical design skills Proven leadership, mentorship, and client relationship management Excellent written and verbal communication skills Passion for consulting and multidisciplinary collaboration Quantitative skills for coastal/waterfront project design Aleron companies (Acara Solutions, Aleron Shared Resources, Broadleaf Results, Lume Strategies, TalentRise, Viaduct) are an Equal Opportunity Employer.
