Job Description

Visa Direct is a global real-time money movement platform that facilitates various consumer and business-funded use-cases such as person-to-person (P2P) transfers, person-to-micro-business transfers (e.g., payouts to shared economy providers), funds disbursements (e.g., insurance claim disbursements and earned wage access), and more. The push payments market is estimated to exceed 80 trillion dollars in payment volume globally, replacing cash, checks, and slow bank transfers with real-time money movement. A robust, multifaceted enabler ecosystem is key to growth, as they facilitate the origination of Visa Direct transactions and services by merchants.

North America (N.A.) Visa Direct Channel Partners Team focuses on enabling and growing a diverse and strong Visa Direct ecosystem by powering Visa Direct payments through traditional and alternative enablement channels such as financial institutions, acquirers, processors, payment facilitators, software platforms, merchants, service providers, and fintechs. Our goals are to cultivate partnerships with enablers and bank sponsors in this ecosystem, helping them grow and optimize their money movement offerings. We support enablers and bank sponsors in activities including originator/merchant launches, enabling new payment flows, scaling strategic use cases, collaborating with various Visa internal teams and regions, and driving end-to-end optimization of program launches. We engage with strategically important acquiring bank sponsors, enablers, and originators that are critical to the success of Visa Direct.

As the Director, N.A. Channel Partners for Money Movement Growth, you are responsible for managing and driving Visa Direct and other money movement solutions growth with Visa's Enablers and Bank Sponsors across North America.

Essential Functions:

Lead enabler and bank sponsor account planning activities, pipeline strategy, and drive opportunity discussions across the larger Visa organization on behalf of your enablement and bank sponsor partners.

Drive growth initiatives and opportunities, including negotiating contracts, deal approvals, supporting new use case and payment flow launches, and delivering partnership presentations directly with your clients.

Partner, collaborate, and lead with accountability to excel with a growth mindset by modeling excellent client relationship skills and demonstrating Visa Principles.

Comfort in driving growth while navigating ambiguity and demanding timelines in a matrixed organization.

Collaborate with NA commercialization teams on the development of opportunity sizing for use case expansion and across Visa Direct offerings (Card, Account, and Wallet).

Support the NA Channel Partners for Money Movement leadership in key strategic initiatives including, but not limited to, pricing strategies, deal structures, growth plans, and go-to-market initiatives.

Responsibilities:

Ability to story tell to advance efforts with both the client and internal leadership (Visa Finance, Product, Sales leadership/Client leadership, and solutioning).

Organizationally savvy, interpersonal, and negotiation skills are critical as you are expected to interface with multiple areas within the assigned enabler organization as well as within Visa (finance, business development, marketing, pricing, legal, risk, and more).

Must be an independent thinker who can develop business growth strategies, propose solutions to challenging clients, and obsess about clients by putting yourself in the clients' shoes to look for insights from data that deliver value and put you in a more consultative/trusted position with clients.

Develop a deep understanding of our enabler and bank sponsor clients' industry, performance, benchmarking, and business to optimize and grow their real-time payment volume with Visa Direct.

Manage and drive Visa Direct growth via Visa's North American enabler and bank sponsor relationships while meeting/exceeding your annual transactional targets. This includes learning about and selling net new solutions to your clients, including VAS and other CMS solutions.

Key Outcomes and Measures of Success:

The measure of success will be determined by the following:

* Transaction increase

* New services and value-added services penetration

* Revenue growth

This position will be based in Miami office with additional Market Support Center locations to be discussed.

This is a hybrid position. Expectation of days in office will be confirmed by your hiring manager.

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications

* 10 or more years of work experience with a Bachelor's Degree or at least 8 years of work experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters/ MBA/JD/MD) or at least 3 years of work experience with a PhD

Preferred Qualifications

* 12 or more years of work experience with a Bachelor's Degree or 8-10 years of experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD) or 6+ years of work experience with a PhD

* 8+ years of experience in Sales, Account Management, Business Development, Deal Design and Management or Finance in Financial Services industry, Payments or Fintech.

* Strong Intellect: Bright individual, with ability to combine analytical reasoning, creativity and judgment. Quick study, able to handle complex matters, with multiple initiatives going on simultaneously. Able to deal effectively with strategic issues, as well as tactical operational details.

* Ability to operate strategically and have a hands-on approach.

* Relationship Building / Influencing: Demonstrate effective and appropriate influencing skills with senior management/partners, combining high-level human capital knowledge with deep organizational understanding. Build strong relationships with solid trust and mutual respect as the foundation. Leverage strong judgment skills to make decisions. Instinctively know when and how to introduce change, in such a way that it is broadly accepted and institutionalized.

* Strong negotiation experience, with demonstrated success

* Exhibited strengths as a cross functional navigator and consensus builder

* Experience in deals (ideally at Visa)

* The ideal candidate will be an experienced individual that has account management and business development experience who is comfortable navigating ambiguity with demanding timelines in a matrixed environment.

* MBA or Master's degree

* Significant experience in payments or banking/financial services industry

* Demonstrated ability of leading complex projects in cross functional settings with multiple stakeholders

* Extensive experience presenting and communicating across all levels of the organization, ability to speak effectively before the appropriate audience.

* Effective time management, prioritization, and organizational skills

* Familiarity with the processes and core functions of Card Networks

* Cross functional sales, product or business management experience

Additional Information

Work Hours: Varies upon the needs of the department.

Travel Requirements: This position requires travel5-10% of the time.

Mental/Physical Requirements: This position will be performed in an office setting. The position will require the incumbent to sit and stand at a desk, communicate in person and by telephone, frequently operate standard office equipment, such as telephones and computers.

U.S. APPLICANTS ONLY: The estimated salary range for a new hire into this position is 250,000.00 to 362,500.00 USD per year, which may include potential sales incentive payments (if applicable). Salary may vary depending on job-related factors which may include knowledge, skills, experience, and location. In addition, this position may be eligible for bonus and equity.
