We're building safety-enhancing technology for aviation that will save lives. Automated aviation systems will enable a future where air transportation is safer, more convenient and fundamentally transformative to the way goods - and eventually people - move around the planet. We are a team of mission-driven engineers with experience across aerospace, robotics and self-driving cars working to make this future a reality.
As a Guidance, Navigation, and Control (GNC) Simulation and Test Infrastructure Developer, you will build the simulation environments and tools that power the development and verification of our autonomous flight systems. You will help create high-fidelity closed-loop simulations and scalable test automation systems that enable rapid iteration and certification-grade validation of GNC software.

Responsibilities
  • Develop software simulation & test environments
  • Build and maintain scalable infrastructure for automated software unit and integration testing of GNC algorithms, including Monte Carlo simulation
  • Conduct closed-loop testing of flight control systems with simulated aircraft dynamics
  • Develop tools for visualizing and analyzing simulation and flight data
  • Support safety and certification documentation for test infrastructure
Basic Success Criteria
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Aerospace, Mechanical Engineering, or related field
  • 5+ years of experience in simulation or test infrastructure development
  • 3+ years experience Python, C++, MATLAB/Simulink, and Linux-based development environments and scripting
  • Professional experience developing flight dynamics models and simulation tools
  • Professional experience with version control, CI/CD, and software testing frameworks including production AWS environments
Preferred Success Criteria
  • Experience with flight control system or flight management system development, simulation, integration, and testing
  • Experience integrating simulators into CI pipelines
  • Familiarity with requirements and test case management in a certification context
  • Background in robotics, autonomy, or aerospace applications
GNC Simulation and Test is a key company capability that enables rapid design iteration and scalable design validation covering the massive combinatorial space of flight envelope and atmospheric conditions. These tools are what allow us to fly with the confidence of more than 1000:1 simulation hours to flight hours and draw statistically significant conclusions on the system's safety and performance.
