This is a seasonal position, paid at $20.00/hr. This position has potential to transition into the winter season for the right candidate. ESSENTIAL DUTIES Process bike rentals to guests along with necessary protective equipment Ensure accuracy in the rental check out and check in of bikes and equipment Perform mountain bike safety inspection pre and post rental, repairing as needed Ensure that all steps are taken to promote safety of the guest Perform daily opening and closing procedures Operation of cash register with accuracy including document completion for rental process Perform daily shop cleaning, organization and merchandising of retail product and equipment Provide information about the resort, bike park, rental, and repair shop services available Other duties as assigned EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS Education: High School Diploma or equivalent or in progress Experience: Previous experience working on bikes, in a retail bike shop as a sales associate QUALIFICATIONS, KNOWLEDGE, SKILL, AND ABILITY REQUIREMENTS Must be at least 16 years of age or older Knowledge of Stratton's trail system, terrain park, and summer/winter program desired Able have the dexterity to work with tools and small pieces PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORKING CONDITIONS Able to lift bikes weighing 50 lbs. or more This position may be required to work evenings, weekends and holidays To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily with or without reasonable accommodations.
