Under the supervision of PROVE Faculty Leadership and with direction from faculty Principal Investigators, the Biostatistician will be responsible for performing primary analyses for multiple health services research projects.
This is a part time, 20 hrs/week position.

The Biostatistician will be responsible for transfer of data from various data sources, cleaning and merging the data into workable data sets and on occasion merging the primary dataset with other data sources. They will work with senior PROVE Biostatisticians/Epidemiologists and Faculty to design analytic plans and then perform these analyses in a rigorous fashion. They will have responsibility for assuring that projects are proceeding according to plan and helps develop recording systems assuring the flow of data is tracked in an accurate and timely fashion. They will also oversee use of our biostatistical server that is primarily managed by a database manager.

Education
Master's Degree Biostatistics required or Master's Degree Related Field of Study required

Experience
Experience as a biostatistician or data analyst 1-2 years preferred

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
- High degree of computer literacy.
- Sound analytical and organizational skills.
- Requires excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Must be able to logically and effectively structure tasks and set priorities.
- Ability to identify problems and troubleshoot solutions.
- Demonstrated ability to analyze data statistically and to logically present it.
