Mobile Equipment Technician - Tipton, PA

Job Summary: Diagnostics, repair, or modification of mobile equipment, including forklifts, golf carts, man lifts, pallet jacks, and company vehicles. Mobile equipment may utilize hydraulic, electrical, diesel, gas, and propane systems.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Operation of powered and manual equipment.
• Operate and inspect machinery to verify safe operation.
• Diagnosis and repair of mechanical subsystems.
• Troubleshoot, repair, rewire of electrical systems.
• Inspect and replace parts exhibiting wear and define the root cause of the deterioration.
• Adjust, maintain, and repair power supply subsystems.
• Use diagnostic test equipment to identify equipment failures.
• Maintain service records through the CMMS system.
• Maintain spare parts for repairs.
• Maintain a clean work environment.
• Maintain battery service records through the CMMS system.

Qualifications and Skills:

• Must be highly motivated and able to work independently.
• Willingness to attend training for any of the equipment in the plant
• Must be able to safely operate a fork truck and maintain the required license.
• Ability to adapt and assist with any work outside the normal job scope when assistance is required
• Ability to effectively troubleshoot all equipment systems and seek additional technical resources when needed.
• Must demonstrate strong interpersonal and self-management skills.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and oral.
• Must be computer proficient and able to navigate efficiently through various software programs and MS Office, including Microsoft Outlook

Education / Experience:

• High School degree required.
• Two (2) years of previous relevant experience preferred

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS, SAFETY and WORK ENVIRONMENT:

1. Perform duties within normal industrial environmental conditions and outside and may encounter extreme heat, cold, wet, or dangerous weather conditions.
2. Must be able to lift and carry up to 100 pounds with assistance.
3. Must be able to push/pull, grip to use hand tools, reach, see, hear, and speak.
4. Must be able to sit or stand for extended periods of time.
5. Associate must follow posted security procedures at all times while in the building.
6. Must follow all PPE requirements.
