Overview

The Technical Architect provides architectural leadership and guidance in their assigned business area, aligning solution development efforts with the broader architectural vision and roadmap. A Technical Architect's skills and knowledge must include multiple domains (Application/Solution architecture, Technical/Infrastructure architecture, Information/Data architecture), and experience with relevant implementation technology, platforms, and tools. As a leader, a Technical Architect is expected to influence the assigned organization and work independently with senior business and IT leaders, while acting as a mentor and role model within the development teams. The Technical Architect is accountable for successful implementation of architecture in their assigned organization/teams, which requires excellent communication skills, the ability to work with developers of differing skill levels, and the ability to recognize, surface, and resolve architectural issues in a collaborative manner.



Responsibilities

    Design solutions to address testing problems and gaps.
  • Development of applications, utilities, test harnesses and frameworks to support application development.
  • Work with management and other team members to develop software using Scrum methodology.
  • Support production issues helping to quickly triage and resolve issues.
  • Lead a team of software developers or automation testers or both.
  • Participate in peer reviews.
  • Represent the team in production releases.
  • Complete all responsibilities as outlined on annual Performance Plan.
  • Complete all special projects and other duties as assigned.
  • Must be able to perform duties with or without reasonable accommodation.


Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or related field, or equivalent experience.
  • +10 years IT experience
  • Experience with programing languages such as Java or Python required.
  • Experience with Oracle or NoSQL databases
  • Experience building testing frameworks and utilities required.
  • Prior experience supporting critical enterprise applications.
  • Experience with Maven, Git and Jenkins required.
  • Agile/Scrum experience required.
  • Strong proficiencies in data structures, algorithms, and design patterns.
  • Experience working with offshore teams.
  • Excellent communication skills.

Physical Requirements and Working Conditions:

  • Remaining in a stationary position, often standing or sitting for prolonged periods.

  • Must be able to provide high-speed internet access/connectivity and office setup and maintenance.
  • No adverse environmental conditions expected.

Base compensation ranges from $128,000 to $168,000 per year. Specific offers are determined by various factors, such as experience, education, skills, certifications, and other business needs. This role is eligible for discretionary bonus consideration.
