We are seeking a Program Manager, Aftermarket Programsto join our Federal team located in York, PA. The individual will lead execution and growth within our Navy systems business that supports all major defense industrial base shipbuilders and the U.S. Navy. This is an exciting opportunity to be responsible for a portfolio of programs working within a growing business and fast-paced environment.
Our Navy Systems business has been supplying air conditioning and refrigeration equipment and services to the US Navy since 1917. The Program Manager, Aftermarket Programs will be responsible for the execution and performance of aftermarket support programs through effective customer engagement, leadership, strategy development, program execution, and overall P&L management. This role partners with the cross functional organization to optimize program / contract performance to ensure customer satisfaction in support of the business's goals and strategic plan.This position requires a skilled, energized individual who enjoys the technical challenge of working with large, complex chiller and control systems found on Naval vessels. The incumbent can function with minimal supervision.As a key contributor in the business, youwill be actively engaged with the Johnson Controls Navy Systems (JCNS) team reporting into the Senior Program Manager, Aftermarket Support.

Salary: $120,000 - $180,000 based on experience plus significant bonus incentive. Negotiable based on experience.

Paid Time Off: 3 weeks of paid vacation, 5 sick days, 3 floating holidays and 10 standard holidays per calendar year (6.5 weeks in total).
Travel Required: Limited travel; most work will be based out of our location in York, PA.
As a Program Manager, Aftermarket Programs, you will:
- Full P&L responsibility with experience leading multiple firm-fixed price contract programs up to $40M.
- Collaborate closely and be actively engaged with our Navy and shipbuilder customers.
- Conduct regular reviews of program performance through various measures to ensure objectives are met, including budget and time constraints.
- Lead alignment of a diverse program team (e.g., contracts, supply chain, engineering, manufacturing, quality).
- Partner cross-functionally to forge collaborative relationships to drive best practices and operationalimprovements (Execution Discipline, Influencingwith Impact, Facilitating Change) in programplanning and execution.
- Lead and participate in contract negotiation and changes; coordinate preparation of proposals, business plans, operating budgets, and financial terms/conditions of the contract.
- Manage program financials in accordance with Johnson Controls policies and standards.
- Contribute to strategic planning, business development, and solution creation to drive innovation and ensure corporate investments align with emerging customer needs; proactively identify growth opportunities.
- Meet and engage with clients and stakeholders to establish relationships, understand requirements, forecasts and funding, and communicate accomplishments or issues. Ensure collaboration between programs and stakeholders.
- Monitor, control, and communicate project, budget, staffing, schedule, and performance status; prepare status reports; effectively manage program and project scope.
- Identify and assess program risks and issues, and develop resolutions to meet productivity, quality, and customer satisfaction goals and objectives.
- Develop comprehensive and creativesolutions to resolve program challengesas they arise. Facilitate root cause and corrective action to resolve issues in a timely manner and incorporate lessons learned in future planning and execution.
- Establish policies appropriate for the function. Interpret and recommend modifications to company-wide policies and practices.
- Ensure objectives are defined in collaboration with management and results assessed from a long-term perspective.
- Interact with management and others concerning matters of significance to the company.
- Develop and deliver presentations to internal and external audiences including Johnson Controls and key stakeholders.
Required Qualifications:
- BS in Engineering, Finance, or Business Administration or equivalent experience.
- 8+ years' experience in program management roles or related experience.
- Experience leading production programs in a Department of Defense (DoD) contracting environment, preferably supporting the Navy. Experience leading development programs is a plus.
- Proven ability to manage complex tasks to completion through coordinated execution of cross-functional support.
- Experience with overseeing indirect program teams to ensure cross-functional alignment of priorities (e.g. Procurement, Contracts, Finance, Operations) to achieve business goals.
- Ability to develop, implement, and manage project plans to include detailed task definition, resource requirements, schedule, quality, and cost parameters.
- Strong foundational understanding of the PMBOK with experience related to its practical application toward the execution of programs / contracts.
- PMP certification desired.
- Excellent interpersonal and negotiation skills with a proven ability to create and maintain positive working relationships with leadership, peers, indirect staff, customers, and suppliers.
- Possesses strong leadership and critical thinking skills to enable sound business judgement.
- Excellent communication (written & oral), interpersonal and presentation skills, along with strong analytical and project management skills - data driven and results oriented.
