WORKING HOURS: WEEKLY ROTATING SHIFTS - 6:00 AM-2:00 PM AND SWING WORKS 2:00 PM-10:00 PM OR AS LONG AS THE MILL NEEDS THEM (NORMALLY NOT PAST MIDNIGHT). WHEN WORKING DAY SHIFT, AT LEAST TWO EMPLOYEES ARE REQUIRED TO WORK SATURDAY. NO SHIFT DIFFERENTIAL WHEN WORKING NIGHTS. JOB ROLE: *** Quality Tubing, the leader in coiled tubing manufacturing processes for over 40 years, is seeking to hire a Maintenance Technician. JOB RESPONSIBILITIES: - Coordinates all shutdowns and repairs with supervisors and operators. Uses proper safety procedures, including Lockout/Tagout. - Performs daily preventive maintenance functions as scheduled. - Comply with all applicable HSE requirements as specified in Quality Tubing?s HSE Operational Requirement for Roles and Responsibilities. - Install power supply wiring and conduit for newly installed equipment. - Connect power supply wires to equipment. - Diagnose malfunctioning electrical apparatus. - Test malfunctioning machinery. - Replace faulty electrical components. - Diagnose and repair or replace faulty electronic components. - Select proper weld process, types of rods, and tools needed and employ appropriate welding. - Inspect welded joints and conducts tests to ensure welds meet company standards and requirements, and job specifications. - Cut, shape, and assemble fabricated components. - Records inspection and test results and prepare and submit reports to maintenance engineering personnel - Select, align, and secure holding fixtures, cutting tools, attachments, accessories, and materials on machines such as mills, lathes, jig borers, grinders, and shapers. - Calculates and sets controls to regulate machining factors such as speed, feed, coolant flow, and depth and angle of cut, or enters commands to retrieve, input, or edit computerized machine control media. - Measure, mark, and scribe dimensions and reference points on material or workpiece as guides for subsequent machining. - Study blueprints, sketches, drawings, manuals, specifications, or sample parts to determine dimensions and tolerances of finished workpiece, sequence of operations, and setup requirements. - Verifies conformance of finished workpiece to specifications. - Visually inspect and listen to machines and equipment to locate causes of malfunctions. - Dismantle machines and equipment to gain access to the problem area. - Inspect and measure parts to detect wear, misalignment, or other problems. - Remove and replace worn or defective parts of the drive mechanism or hydraulic system. - Realign and adjust components such as spindles and clutches. - Locate damaged air and hydraulic pipes on the machine, measure, cut, threads, and install the new pipe. - Start machines and equipment to test operation following repair. - Assist Mechanical Engineer to suggest modifications to designs of machine components such as hydraulic system and drives. QUALIFICATIONS: - High school diploma or general education degree (GED) - Experience in mechanical, electrical, welding, mechanist, or machine repair. Electrical experience is preferred. - Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. - Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. - Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide into all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. - Ability to apply commonsense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. |
