Job Description:
Cydecor is seeking a Senior Power BI Lead Architect/Tech Manager. This position is responsible for structuring the design and maintenance of Business Intelligence (BI) applications that support daily business and financial operations.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Serve as a lead developer and provide recommendations and software development solutions (Power Apps, Power Automate, Power BI, SharePoint, and Microsoft Dynamics etc.) to meet business process requirements.
- Provide engineering solutions to business problems using the standard features and functions of enterprise software to include, but not limited to, Microsoft Power Apps, Power Automate, Microsoft Dynamics, SharePoint as well as Power BI. As required, develop and document customized capabilities as directed by the Government using SharePoint Designer and/or Power Apps.
- Create and maintain developer user guides, or other related development products in support of application development initiatives.
- Create processing workflows using SharePoint Designer and/or Power Automate supporting portal-based tools and applications to push information to people or organizations as per the defined process map.
- Mentor and train personnel on the Microsoft Power Platform applications and features to support potential customer requirements.
- Identifies, researches, and resolves technical issues with BI solutions.
- Attends customer meetings, telecons and working groups to learn and share enterprise BI best practices.
- Works closely with headquarters development teams to prepare for technology shifts ahead of new software deployment throughout the enterprise.
- Utilizes development environments to test new technologies viability to meet customer requirements.
- Ensure compatibility with available tools like Azure Open AI, ChatGPT & Google Gemini, Webapps, Power BI, Jupiter, and Advana for reporting and analysis by all customer groups and personnel.
- Ensure flexibility for solutions that can be custom-built to end-user specifications by the Business Intelligence and Data Visualization Team or available as self-service with reusable templates and reports leveraging established common reporting standards.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Analytics, or a related field.
- Must possess 7+ years' experience as an applications developer with SharePoint or other applications such as Microsoft Dynamics and the Microsoft Power Platform.
- High-level understanding of Power BI Desktop and Power BI Service.
- Must possess working knowledge of SQL Reporting, DAX, Power Query, and data modeling concepts.
- Ability to operate an information technology system with common/standard business software programs.
- Ability to develop BI applications on systems at the appropriate classification level as required.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Outlook, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- U.S. Citizen with anActive Secret Clearance (Final or Interim)
Desired Qualifications:
- Experience working with Navy ERP, ADVANA, DEAMS, or other DoD systems and data environments.
- Familiarity with federal data standards, including FISMA, NIST, and DoD CUI handling requirements.
- Exposure to Microsoft Azure services (e.g., Synapse, Data Factory, Azure SQL).
- Knowledge of Agile and DevSecOps best practices in federal environments.
Work Schedule: M-F, 0800-1600 - mostly remote but occasional travel to customer site in Washington, DC is possible.
Compensation and Benefits:
The projected compensation range for this position is $150,000 - $170,000. There are numerous factors that can impact a final salary/hourly rate including, but not limited to, relevant work experience, skills and competencies that align to the role, work location, education/certifications, and a contract's Labor Categories.
