We are Systems, LLCa leading manufacturer and designer of loading dock equipment. Wecontinue to GROW and are seeking a motivated team player to join our organization.

This role is responsible for producing, assembling, installing and conducting tests of loading dock products that consist of mechanical, electromechanical, electronic, firmware and software features for engineering. This includes product functionality testing and product install. The tech must also have the ability to read and interpret product test procedures, weld, install electrical control panels, create test fixtures along with documenting, analyzing and summarizing results to such requirements.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Set-up and execute testing per written or verbal plans of loading dock products, record, analyze and communicates test results, tracks defects, and estimate test efforts.
  • Participates as a team member with engineering to track and maintain test work schedules on multiple projects
  • Records, prepares and reviews test results for projects as assigned and assists other techs with their projects
  • Operates a variety of computer automated and manual test equipment including data acquisition systems, and assorted measurement transducers and tools
  • Participate in defect analysis, root cause analysis, study product functionality impact, and provides key insight of observed product performance and defects
  • Provide Feedback to engineering and technical services on installation manuals
  • Perform equipment installations at customer facilities for design validation, including overnight travel
  • Comply with health and safety guidelines and rules; managers should also ensure compliance across their teams.
  • Protect Chamberlain Group's and Systems' reputation by keeping information confidential.
  • Maintain professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops, reading professional publications, establishing personal networks, and participating in professional societies.
  • Contribute to the team effort by accomplishing related results and participating on projects as needed.

Job Requirements:

  • Technical degree, associate degree, or equivalent experience
  • 5+ years experience in a fabrication production environment
  • 5+ years experience in a technical service role
  • Valid drivers license with good driving history
  • Ability to travel to remote sites, sometimes overnight. Travel estimated up to 10%.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Proficient knowledge measurement instruments use like multimeters, calipers, tape measures, pressure gauges, etc.
  • Proficient understanding of electrical schematics as well as mechanical drawings.
  • Proficient in computers and basic software applications.
  • Able to use electrical and mechanical tools, such screw drivers, wrenches, drill bits, drill taper, for hardware construction.
  • Forklift operation experience
  • Crane operation experience
  • Fabrication experience including welding, machining, and mechanical and electrical component assembly

Preferred Job Requirements:

  • Technical Associates degree
  • 2+ years experience in technical engineering
  • 2+ years experience in field installations

The payrange for this position is $29.50/HR; base payoffered may vary depending on a number of factors including, but not limited to, the position offered, location, education, training, and/or experience.In addition to base pay, also offered is a comprehensive benefits package and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements).This position is eligible for participation in a short-term incentive plan subject to the terms of the applicable plans and policies.
