GENERAL PURPOSE

Design Within Reach is looking for someone to join our Furniture Repair team, and we want it to be you! You'll work in a fast-paced environment where you will receive, pack, and ship our merchandise as well as upholding our high quality standards for repair. This role is full-time with the potential for overtime.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  • Manage customer inquiries and assist with inventory of task seating.

  • Conduct minor repairs on various furniture pieces.

  • Replace components on gaming and office chairs once certified internally.

  • Own repairs and replacement of chair components

  • Maintain and assist with chair parts and repair inventory.

  • Maintain a clean and safe work environment.

  • Performs additional responsibilities as requested to achieve business objectives.

QUALIFICATIONS

Education/Experience

  • High school diploma or equivalent combination of education and experience.

  • Experience with furniture repair.

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

  • Perform work in a safe manner consistent with company policies and federal, state, and local laws.

  • You are a self-driven and motivated worker.

  • Lift 50 - 75lbs and team lift up-to 250lbs occasionally.

  • Strong communication skills.

  • Flexibility for overtime and weekend work.
