Job Overview
As a Manager of our Engineering Services Department, you will be responsible for overseeing the entire Engineering Services operation including P&C and Station engineering, quality control, business operations, new business development, and client relations. #LI-CH1 A Day In The Life
* Oversee the entire engineering department (50+ people), ensuring projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards * Manage the Profit & Loss (P&L) statements for engineering projects, ensuring financial objectives are met with an expected 10-12% annual growth year over year * Lead strategic planning efforts for the engineering division, aligning with the company's long-term goals * Drive new business development initiatives, identifying opportunities for growth and expansion * Build and maintain strong relationships with current clients, ensuring their engineering needs are met and expectations are exceeded * Implement and oversee quality control processes to uphold the standards of the company * Mentor and develop staff, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and professional growth * Provide leadership and guidance to the team to align with the strategic goals set forth for the company * Coordinate and lead monthly operational reviews for the team * Actively involved in the recruitment and interviewing of potential technical team members * Recognize a need for, and champion process improvements * Lead performance reviews and career development for team * Customer visits (travel approximately 20% of the time) * Support resource management and project planning activities * Support team with estimates, and other critical duties as needed * Participate and lead in customer sales calls and new business development with new potential clients What will help you thrive in this role?
* Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field. A Master's degree &/or Professional Engineering (PE) License is preferred. * Minimum of fifteen years of experience with increasing responsibility with at least seven years of experience managing and overseeing large teams * Strong financial acumen with experience managing P&L * Experience driving strategic goals with guidance of direct reports Hubbell Incorporated Hubbell creates critical infrastructure solutions that power our customers, communities, people and the planet.
