Overview

As a Program Manager within the Business Management division, you will be part of a team dedicated to bringing ArcGIS products to market. You'll manage complex projects and initiatives where you will coordinate cross-divisional efforts focused on the operational implementation of license management, pricing, business rules and best practices, necessary to license, deliver, and support the ArcGIS portfolio of products to our customers. In this position, you will play a key role in driving operational readiness strategies that align with business objectives, leveraging your leadership, communication, and organizational skills.

Responsibilities



  • Evaluate the current state of project management practices within the operational readiness program to identify improvement opportunities
  • Enhance project management practices within the operational readiness program through strategic assessment
  • Develop and implement scalable project management workflows that are closely aligned with and drive organizational objectives effectively
  • Advocate for change management to ensure smooth adoption of updated practices across teams
  • Oversee projects from initiation to completion, considering inter-dependencies among various departments
  • Plan, execute, and deliver cross-divisional projects focused on the operational implementation of product license management, pricing, business rules, workflow, and best practices, ensuring all project activities are within scope and support product release timeframes
  • Proactively identify potential issues and implement strategies for successful product releases
  • Evaluate project outcomes to identify successes and areas for improvement, collaborating with stakeholders for refinement


Requirements



  • 8+ years of experience as a program/project manager driving software product releases leveraging project management principles and practices
  • Working proficiency in project management software and tools
  • Technical understanding and ability to define and refine requirements through a project lifecycle
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and adapt to changing priorities
  • Decisiveness in identifying priorities and resolving issues
  • Interpersonal skills including clear communication, diplomacy, and ability to facilitate and influence in a cross-functional environment
  • Bachelor's in Project Management, Business, Information Technology, or a related field

Recommended Qualifications



  • Certification in project management (such as PMP, ScrumMaster).
  • Knowledge of GIS technology
