 Summary We are seeking a qualified Ventilator Patient Specialist to join the Rotech team. In this position, you will be responsible for managing a set number of ALS and/or Pediatric ventilation patients within a defined territory; will be the primary contact for patient, caregiver and any other entity directly involved with the patient's ventilation care. In the State of MA this position pays between $35/hr. - $40/hr. depending on related experience and location. Essential Duties and Responsibilities 
 Available for on-call assignments as needed; responsible for phone consultations during non-business hoursMaintains continuing education as necessary for performance of job responsibilities and as required for state licensure or certificationMaintains documentation of all services provided and all work performed per Rotech's policies and proceduresMaintains records and workspace in an organized, safe, clean, and neat fashionMaintains up-to-date licensure certification or other requirements per state law in the state(s) of practiceSupports orientation and training of other personnel at the direction of the ManagerPerforms other duties and responsibilities as required by state licensure law or by the ManagerPatient assessment Provides patient education as applicableSets up all highly technical respiratory equipment Monitors ongoing function of highly technical respiratory equipment  Qualifications

 Background investigation (company-wide)Drug screen (when applicable for the position)Valid driver's license in state of residence with a clean driving record (when applicable for the position) Education and/or Experience 
 Completion of an accredited program/degree in respiratory care preferred; nursing (RN) may be acceptable depending upon state licensure lawsCredentials as a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) or Certified Respiratory Therapist (CRT) is preferred but other medical credentials may be acceptable (e.g., RN) depending upon state licensure lawsHome respiratory care experience is preferred or equivalent hospital experienceMay be required to obtain license in neighboring states as required by defined service area of locationMust be licensed in primary state of home office as required by state law and provide a copy of license to the locationPediatric and/or ALS Ventilation experience is requiredProficient in the use of equipment download software (Care Orchestrator, Astral, etc.) Skills, Knowledge and Abilities
