Joint Interface Control Officer (JICO)
for the Maritime Operations Center Training and Exercise Team
Purpose:


  • Valkyrie Enterprises is seeking a Joint Interface Control Officer (JICO) to support the Maritime Operations Center Training and Exercise Team in Norfolk, VA.


Job Description:


  • Expert in all aspects of technical integration of C4I systems to include:
  • Integration and operation of distributed simulation systems
  • Networks
  • C4I systems and related infrastructure
  • Interfaces used to support Navy OLW training
  • Provide GCCS-M COP architecture design and management
  • Provide advice to the Operations Planner in all aspects of C4I technologies and interfaces and coordinate their use in CCMD, and Fleet Level training events
  • Coordinate and interface with JS J7, CCMD, theater MOCs, and Navy tactical training commands exercise planners for exercise development and execution
  • Provide expert analysis and recommendations for complex problems and provide technical expertise on integration of naval training requirements in Navy, joint, combined, and CCDR level exercise programs
  • Participate with senior MOC staff to establish exercise scenarios to train to maritime support plans and objectives from individual MOCs in support of theater OPLAN/CONPLANs
  • Support Navy Warfare Development Command in the formulation and development of advanced training and exercise policy concepts as related to MOC operations


Qualifications:


  • Must have Bachelor of Arts or Bachelor of Science degree or educational equivalency defined as ten (10) years of work experience or additional post-secondary education, i.e. Associate's Degree or Certificate(s), plus five (5) years of work experience
  • Must have served as a Joint Interface Control Officer (JICO) at the Operational Level
  • Must have completed Interface Control Officer ICO (NEC 0350, E7 and above), OS A school. OS C School Track Data Coordinator (TDC), Intro to MTN (JT- 101), MAJIC (JT-102), Multi- TDL Planners Course (JT-201)
  • Must have Completion of JT-102 Multi-Tactical Data Link Advanced Joint Interoperability Course is required
  • Must have Completion of JT-310, Advanced Joint Interface Control Cell (JICC) Operator Course or JT-301, Joint Interface Control Officer (JICO) Course or approved equivalent courses is required


Desired Qualifications:


  • Prefer completion of GCCS-M Operators course
  • Prefer demonstrated experience and knowledge of Link Management and Monitoring Tool (LMMT), Link Gateway Manager (GWM), JRE Client Software, BCS C2 software, ADSI Ultra 16 and TacViewC2 software and Basic Linux Red Hat Enterprise
  • Prefer completion of MAJIC (JT-102), Multi-TDL planners course (JT-201), Link 16 Unit Manager (LUM) Course (JT-220) and/or Multi-TDL Operations Planning Course, JT-201


Security Requirements:


  • Must be eligible to obtain and maintain a DoD Top Secret/SCI security clearance


Travel Requirements:


  • May travel up to 30%
  • If position requires travel by domestic flight or access to secure federal facilities/military bases, candidate must be able to obtain (by start of position) and maintain appropriate identification credentials, such as REAL ID. Physical Requirements:

Pay Range: $100,000 - $155,000 per year
